Volunteers Cynthia and Pat visiting elder friend Fay on Valentine's Day weekend

FEATURED ELDER

Fay

The talents of our elderly friends are a gift to our community.
Ms. Fay used to run a beauty parlor in Brooklyn and has kept a keen sense of style.

FULL STORY

Fay's Story

We are grateful for Ms. Fay’s passion for baking, hospitality and the cakes she makes on special occasions.

At the age of 12, her mom and dad in North Carolina taught her how to bake and cook. Sweet Potato Pie is
a well-loved, classic dessert in the South. Friendships for Life is honored to share Ms. Fay’s “Sweet Potato Pie" family recipe. Try it out and let us know what you think.

Our world is a better place when friendships, homemade pies and a heartfelt conversation can all happen under one roof.
